         The birth of 2-Step Entertainment happened by chance.  It was March of 2001 while getting a haircut when the stylist asked our founder, Adam M. Shearer if he knew of anyone who could DJ her dad's 50th birthday party that night because the DJ they had booked had cancelled.  "I had never done anything like it before so the thought never even entered my mind to volunteer to do it." says Adam.  "She asked me to do it because she knew that I was outgoing enough to make it fun for them." -  Adam Shearer

          It was after that night that 2-Step Entertainment began to become what it is today.  Adam began DJing at local night clubs and soon became one of the most well-known and sought after DJs in the area.  It was his seamless mixes and smooth dance moves that quickly grabbed the attention of everyone near him.  "You could just tell that this was something he was born to do; to entertain.  “I've never seen someone who could take a boring crowd and teach them how to have fun.  It's in his blood." says long-time friend Kevin Suhoza. 

          After spending a few years in the night clubs Adam started  DJing weddings.  "I had been to a few weddings and at most of the ones I was at I just saw the crowd and how there was no interaction with the DJ.  I just thought weddings should be more fun than this!"  Some 14 years later 2-Step Entertainment has taken Adam's idea and built a reputation on just that.  "We'll have the people who you never expected to be out of their seats dancing with the rest of the crowd.  If someone isn't dancing or having a good time we take it personally."
